Self-Portrait in Flannel Shirt
I saw a Van Gogh Omnimax documentary last night, listened to BRAINWORMS all day, put on a flannel shirt, and out came this drawing. ALL HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Thanks y'all! It is indeed a hot pink paint pen with white-out and COLORED PENCIL on a piece of cardboard. The pink looks hotter in person (just like me).
What a hoot! You integrate those touches of light and volume on the worms and the fleshy cutaway that carry the image into genuine illustration territory, yet retain the cartoon goofiness that leavens the whole thing. Quite a trick, that--a nod to the "real" with a wink. Great work!

I never thought of it like that, but it really is true.
