I believe this Wednesday (May 25) is the last day to submit poems to this year's Best New Poets anthology, of which I drew the cover (above). Here was my sketch and a couple other ideas:

I love seeing the process and how the original ideas/sketches turned into the final cover - which is just lovely, by the way. A huge upgrade for the Best New Poets series.

great set of cover images but the final choice was definitely the right one. The flat shapes, limited colour, the pages echoing bottle trees and falling leaves.
